Jake Dixon is full of confidence heading into the latest round of the Moto 2 Season in Austria this weekend, as he goes into it off the back of victory at his home round at Silverstone.
It has so far been a remarkable comeback in the second half of the season for Dixon after a largely forgettable first half of the campaign.
In the last five races he has finished on the podium in Spain and Germany as well as the top step in the UK.
He was also fourth in Holland, and he will be looking to continue that impressive form this weekend as they head to the Red Bull Ring in Austria.
His previous results in Austria are positive: last year he was fourth, one second off the podium, and in 2022 he was third. This weekend, Dixon will fight to get back on the podium and continue to reduce the gap in the standings.
Sergio García, the Spanish rider has an 18-point advantage over teammate Ai Ogura, who is second in the World Championship, and 37 over third-placed Joe Roberts.
Speaking ahead of the weekend, Dixon said: “I fulfilled a dream in Silverstone, but that is now part of the past. Our present is in Austria, in a new race that begins the second half of the championship.
“In the last five races we have been almost the ones who have scored the most points and I want to maintain that progression in these next races.”
