Dixon looking to bounce back in Japan

Jake Dixon is back on track this weekend, as he targets his first ever podium finish in Japan for the latest round of the Moto2 World Championship.

Motegi plays host to the fifth to last round of the season this weekend, with Dover’s Jake Dixon looking to put the last two weekends firmly out of mind.

Dixon has fond memories of the Japanese GP, having just missed out on the podium in the last two races. After the race in Indonesia, he is in eighth position in the standings, 78 points off the leader, but only 26 off the top 3, a gap that he will try to reduce in order to finish the season among the best in the category.

Speaking ahead of the weekend, Dixon said: “Motegi is a track that I like, in which I have fun and where last year we ended in fourth position. I am looking forward to it and see what we can do”.
