Jake Dixon failed to complete the opening lap of the Australian Moto2 Grand Prix at the weekend.
It certainly wasn’t in the plans for Dixon to be knocked off in the second corner of the race, but that is unfortunately what happened to the rider from Dover.
He had qualified ninth and was hoping to be challenging for the podium, but it wasn’t to be. He moves onto the Thai GP next weekend.
Speaking after the weekend, Dixon said: “Getting knocked off is definitely not ideal. It was only the second corner, everyone was relaxed.
“I have not even seen it, he has not passed me, he just hit me from behind. Fortunately, I am fine. We have not been lucky in the last four races, it is what it is.”
