Brands Hatch will present a pageant of German power with Deutsche Fest on 19-20 August, the latest themed spectacular to join the Kent circuit’s bustling event calendar.

Building from the same model as the venue’s other in-house extravaganzas – notably American SpeedFest and Festival Italia – Deutsche Fest will be much more than just a race meeting, with a wide range of themed activities on and off the track throughout its two days.

On-track action will be headlined by the ‘Teutonic twang’ of high performance vehicles from iconic manufacturers such as Porsche, BMW, Audi, Mercedes, and Volkswagen, with appearances from the Volkswagen Racing Cup, VAG Trophy, Production BMW Championship and more. In addition to thrilling saloon and sports car racing, German car owners can join the action with track sessions for those wishing to stretch their own cars’ muscles. Plus, there will be a number of special demonstration runs from significant German cars.

Away from the racing, there will be hundreds of German cars from classics such as the VW Beetle and 1950s bubble cars to modern-day autobahn stormers including BMW and Audi supersaloons and Porsche sportscars. These will range from pristine showroom cars to those bestowed with unique aftermarket modifications.

The displays will be complemented by selections of high class machinery from car clubs and displays from manufacturers and dealerships. All drivers of German cars on display at the event will also be invited to take part in a parade lap of the track at the end of the weekend.

If the cars on display whet the appetite sufficiently, then there will be a bespoke area for cars on sale, whilst those already in possession of a ‘Deutsche-wagen’ will be catered for by trade stands relevant to the booming German modification scene.

Additional high adrenaline entertainment aplenty will take place within a live action arena, including stunt shows and drifting.

Other entertainment will include live Oompah Brass band music, with plenty to do well into the evening as well, with ‘Oktoberfest-style’ beer tents, German food, and a family-friendly campsite.

This exciting expansion on the Brands Hatch event philosophy means that the circuit will host three nation-themed events in 2017, each with its own unique character: American SpeedFest (10/11 June) is a fast and loud NASCAR weekender and Festival Italia (13 August) will offer a sumptuous spread of supercars and Grand Prix machines, whilst Deutsche Fest creates a different vibe entirely.

German cars have an enormous following and, in light of our American SpeedFest and Festival Italia’s success, this was the perfect next step for us. Like those other two events, this will be an in-house operation, with racing organised and run by MotorSport Vision Racing.
