Denly undecided over Kent future

Kent batsman Joe Denly has admitted he is unsure as to whether his future lies with the county.

The 25 year old is out of contract now the season has come to an end and has various options as to where to play his cricket come April of next year.

One of those places is still Kent, with Denly telling KSN that nothing has been decided as yet:

“We are still talking and negotiating about a new deal, so there is still a chance I could still be here next season.”

“These things always take time to sort and I am hoping to get it all done pretty soon.”

“I’ve had a decent last half of the season and it’s a shame we haven’t managed to achieve what we set out to achieve, but that’s cricket.”

Denly has scored over 1,000 runs for Kent this season making him hot property within the county circuit with both Essex and Middlesex rumoured to be looking at securing his services.
