With a seven point league at the top of the league Welling Town manager Louis Dean is keeping his feet on the ground with a big game on Saturday against Bridon Ropes.
Dean will have prepared his side for the game in training during the week but is ready for the challenge that playing away Bridon provides, as they sit in fifth place with games in hand on Welling Town.
He said: “We just keep applying the pressure. Bridon lost at Erith, they are going to be more than up for it. Obviously, if we can get the result that we want that might end their title challenge. They are going to be a good side, they are up there for a reason.
Bridon will be a tough fixture for the league leaders as they are a dangerous side on the attack and Dean knows that his players will have to be at the top of their game to ensure that they take home the three points.
“We have to be prepared for that, it is going to be a slightly different game than we had against Rochester, we have to adapt to it and make sure that we get the result that we want.
“It might be a bit more of an end to end game and they are quick and they want to play so bring it. It is good for the neutral and we will have to make sure we do our thing in the right way first.”
