Deal Tri are hosting their annual half marathon on Sunday and runners are being urged to sign up for this great event.

Starting at 10:30am along Betteshanger Rd, opposite Betteshanger Park, the route takes runners out through Betteshanger, Northbourne, Ripple, Sutton, East Langdon and Martin. 

Not only is this event a well timed training run for athletes running marathon distances in London, Manchester and beyond, the 2025 Deal Half Marathon has been chosen as the February KCAA Grand Prix race.

There’s also a Junior race at 10:45am – a 1.5km run up and back on the cycle path!  See the weblink below for details.

Deal Tri are proud to give support to charities and local groups. 

The Club is supporting and promoting the work of Deal Area Foodbank by inviting participants to donate items for their use, such as hot/cold tinned meats, tinned fruit, custard, deodorants etc. 

They are also leading the way in using reusable cups for their events – medals feature a mining theme, reflecting the local mining heritage – there will be a medal and boot bag for all finishers – the boot bag shows the half marathon distance.

The Club also gives a donation of £500 to Pancreatic Cancer Action.  Information on early diagnosis etc will be available on the day or via their website https://pancreaticcanceraction.org/

They are also supporting Off the Street On Our Feet and Primal Runners, two groups of runners getting back to life through running.
