Deal Town are in cup action again on Saturday with a home tie against Sevenoaks Town in the preliminary round of the Kent Reliance Senior Trophy (3pm).
And although Sevenoaks are currently top of the Southern Counties East League, Derek Hares’ squad are unlikely to be fazed by that situation having already beaten three other SCEL table-toppers this season.
Deal’s confidence will also have been boosted by Tuesday’s seven-goal replay thrashing of Glebe in the FA Vase as they try to achieve a repeat of their 3-2 home victory over Sevenoaks in the quarter finals of last season’s Kent Senior Trophy.
