Around a month after being appointed, Ramsgate boss Nick Davis has been talking to KSN on what he’s already achieved on his return to the club and what the Southwood faithful have to look forward to.
“After losing the first couple, I’m pleased with the way that we’ve responded,” the Rams boss told us. “We were beaten by a strong Ashford side before losing 1-0 at Whitstable where were should have got something out of the game before I managed to bring a couple of players in, adjust the system and its made us stronger allowing us to win both the last games – against X and notably away to Haywards Heath who were fifth in the league and unbeaten in eleven games which included wins over Hastings and Horsham in previous weeks.”
“So far so good – you’ve got to find your own feet when you inherit someone else’s squad, so it takes time and there’s still a long way to go. We have managed back to back League wins for the first time this season so that’s a big plus as everything takes time.”
“It’s the early kick off for us this weekend and Guernsey’s away record this season is as good as their home form which may surprise a few but we’re at home and if we turn up, we’ve got the players who should get the points that we need. It’ll be nice to finish early especially if we win and then watch on as everyone else plays.”
“We’re getting stronger and I’ve got to make the decision on who’s actually going to be part of it later this afternoon – we’re in a better position already and that gives me more options. I’m looking as well to have another striker included for tomorrow but that’s not quite been signed off at this moment!”
