The versatile Callum Davies has joined Folkestone Invicta on loan for three months from Maidstone United today.
Davies will remain with the Ryman Premier Division side until midway through November, and he goes straight into the Invicta squad for their trip to Havant and Waterlooville tomorrow afternoon.
Davies can play in either defence or midfield and his versatility will be of benefit to Neil Cugley and the Folkestone team, and at 23 he still has the potential to develop into a fine player.
He was on the books of Gillingham and has experience of playing in the Football League, before he was released before he then moved to the Gallagher Stadium last season.
Unfortunately for Callum he found himself restricted in terms of appearances and Jay Saunders indicated earlier in the summer that he would be willing to let him go out on loan or permanently to get some game time.
With Folkestone short of a few players through injury, Davies will be a welcome addition to the squad with some good experience even such a young age.
