One point separates Dartford and Weston-super-Mare ahead of their Vanarama National League South Tuesday evening game.
Neither club won on Saturday and both will be keen to take the three points that would move them three or four places up the table.
Alan Dowson’s Darts were defeated at Hemel Hempstead Town. They went ahead five minutes before the break through Luke Coulson’s penalty but only held the lead for two minutes when Reece Grant levelled. Joe Iaciofano put Hemel ahead from the spot for a handball in the area before the visitors thought that they had levelled through Paul Rooney ten minutes before time. However the referee spotted an in infringement and disallowed it.
Another decision went against the Darts shortly afterwards and something that Dowson said to an assistant referee caused him to call the referee over and the Dartford manager was given his marching orders.
Meanwhile, Weston were hosting Maidstone United and the points were shared. The Stones took an early lead when Sol Wanjau-Smith sent Levi Amantchi through and he tucked it inside the far post. The Seagulls levelled on the hour mark from the spot when Lloyd Humphries was felled in the penalty area. Rueben Reid stepped up and walloped it home.
At home, Dartford have won three, drawn three and lost one while Weston have won three and lost three on the road so the hosts will probably start as slight favourites but they will need to be on top of their game if they want to move into the top half of the table.
