League leaders Wealdstone are the visitors to Princes Park as Dartford return to league action on Saturday.
A familiar pattern is occurring at the moment in that as the weekend approaches, so does another storm. With Jorge now set to batter the UK, Dartford will be aiming to make it three wins at home in the space of 8 days.
A midweek thrashing of Folkestone Invicta in the Kent Senior Cup was preceded by a hard fought league victory against Eastbourne Borough last weekend. The results will put the Darts in high spirits as they prepare for a huge test against Wealdstone.
Dartford are still clinging on to the final playoff spot in 7th place and are 16 points behind their opponents who are 6 points clear at the top of the league.
They may be top but The Stones are coming in to the game on the back of a disappointing home defeat to Chelmsford Tuesday night. They did win their last away game against Havant and Waterlooville but that was their first away win since October.
A much different Dartford side lost 4-1 to Wealdstone on the opening day of the season. Lafayette put Wealdstone ahead before Hill equalised. Three goals in the last 15 minutes from Lewis, Stevens and Lafayette gave the hosts the victory.
It is well worth noting that Dartford do not have a good record at home against Wealdstone and were on the wrong end of a 3-0 result last season in this fixture.
Steve King will be forced to change his starting line up from the last weekend as Jack Jebb and Nick Arnold are ineligible due to the terms of their moves from Wealdstone.
There were impressive performances from the players that came into the side Tuesday night as they look to force their way into Saturday’s selection.
