Dartford v Dulwich Hamlet preview

Dulwich Hamlet are the visitors to Princes Park as Dartford return to league action on Saturday.

Despite defeat to Slough Town last weekend, Dartford remain in seventh place whilst Dulwich are currently sat eight places below them in fifteenth.

The Darts will be looking to continue where they left off on Tuesday night when they beat Maidstone United 1-0 in the Kent Senior Cup.

After making nine changes to the starting line-up, Steve King will have some difficult decisions to make as the likes of Smith, Vint, Noble, Blackman and Marsh-Brown particularly impressed.

Dartford have taken maximum points from their last three home games, scoring ten goals without reply. The last time they played at Princes Park they beat Oxford City 3-0, having previously defeated Welling United 4-0 and Tonbridge Angels 3-0.

Dulwich Hamlet lost 3-1 on Tuesday night at home to Havant and Waterlooville, which ended their unbeaten start to 2020. Despite The Hamlets’ impressive start to the year they now haven’t won in three games. Their last away game ended in a 1-1 draw with Weymouth.

The reverse fixture last month resulted in a 1-1 draw. Elliot Romain won and converted a penalty to level the score for Dartford after Smith had earlier given Dulwich the lead. Last season at Princes Park Dartford won 2-1, Akinyemi putting the visitors ahead before goals from Philpot and Sheringham turned the game around.

With home advantage against a team in the bottom half, this is a game that Dartford will be looking for all 3 points.
