Dartford returned to their free flowing best to thrash Chelmsford City at Princes Park on Saturday.
Two goals at the end of the first half from Josh Hill and Elliot Romain put Dartford in control of the National League South fixture and an early goal in the second half scored by Noor Husin sealed the win.
Steve King made one change to the side that won last weekend bringing Billy Crook back into central midfield in place of Amrit Bansal-McNulty.
Dartford started on the front foot and a long range effort from Crook was smartly saved by Laurie Walker who pushed around the post.
The hosts should have taken the lead when a free kick from Jebb was met by Hill two yards out but his effort went over.
The visitors had their goalkeeper to thank after a poor clearance fell to McQueen. His effort forcing a great diving save from Walker as he diverted the ball onto the post and wide.
McQueen was then guilty of missing a great chance as he fired over from inside the 6 yard box following a cross from Nash.
Dartford hit the frame of the goal for a second time when Hill headed Jebb’s cross onto the crossbar.
Nash was the next to test Walker as he cut inside and sent an effort towards the far post. Walker again made a great save at full stretch tipping round the post.
With five minutes to go in the half, Dartford eventually got the goal they deserved from a corner following a great run from Braham-Barratt. Walker pushed away the initial ball in but only onto the forehead of Hill who headed home from a tight angle.
In first half stoppage time the hosts doubled their lead after a mishit shot found its way to Crook with the defence standing still. His shot was saved by Walker but the ball fell to Romain who wasn’t going to miss with the goal empty.
The Clarets had their best spell at the start of the second half with a long range effort from Jeffers going narrowly wide.
The visitors then hit the post when Higgins had an effort in the box.
The spell didn’t last long and the game was over when Dartford scored their third. Husin picked the ball up on the wing before exchanging passes with Crook and placing the ball past Walker.
The third goal ended the game as a contest and the home side were able to cruise through the rest of the game.
A couple of efforts in the final ten minutes from Dartford were both well saved by Walker. Firstly from Romain then Marsh-Brown after he turned his man on the edge of the box, ran into the area and tried to beat Walker at his near post.
It was a superb performance from Dartford and the full time whistle sounded to put Chelmsford out of their misery.
