Dartford and Bromley played out a 1-1  draw in a mid-season friendly at Princes Park on Tuesday night, as both sides gave some game time to new signings and squad members in need of match practice.

The Darts started the game brighter and took the lead when Liam Nash converted a cross from the right, coolly slotting the ball home from six yards out with The Ravens defence on the back foot.

The home side continued to have the better of the early play with Bromley keeper Mark Cousins making some great saves in his first game back since a serious shoulder injury in September.

The Ravens came into the game as the half went on with Andre Coker and Aron Rowe switching wings and causing threats out wide as they looked to find target man Adrian Clifton who occupied the lone striker role. Darts keeper Mark Smith made a superb one handed save to deny Luke Tanner’s driven effort from the edge of the box.

The second half saw Bromley start well, but Cousins again had to make a number of good stops before being replaced by Tariq Najia with 18 minutes to go.

The Ravens equalised soon after when Coker sped down the right before sending in a low cross for the substitute Trialist to smash the ball home from ten yards out. Both managers made a number of changes late on as they played out a competitive match in a good spirit.

The hastily arranged game was a good work out for both sides as they prepare for the final three months of the season.
