Portsmouth, Dagenham and Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Saturday will see Charlton complete their preparations for the new season.
There will probably be only one or two changes to Saturday’s starting XI, Adamo Coulibaly is now trialing at Lens and Rhoys Wiggins may come in for Cedric Evina.
Chris Powell seemed interested in bringing Coulibaly to The Valley but the chances of securing the striker’s services appear to be fading.
With just eleven days until the league season kick-offs, Powell will be looking to add to his striking options quickly. He may even get a player in to look at ahead of the Dagenham game.
The Daggers went down 2-1 to Crystal Palace on Saturday so they should be capable of stretching Charlton.
Powell will be looking to get game time into his starting XI and will make fewer substitutions this evening.
The team that faces Inverness on Saturday should be – barring any injuries or late additions – the one that will start at Bournemouth a week later.
