Hailing from the Czech Republic’s third largest city of Ostrava, Adam Rehak began his hockey career in his home town starting a journey that has since taken him to America, Italy, France and Poland.

In his own nation the forward has iced at under 18s level, under 20s level and both the third and second tier as well as representing his country on the international stage as a junior.

In 100 outings for the u18s the forward notched 113 points – 53 of those as he found the net himself and the remaining 60 by way of assists. For the u20s his output increased further – 72 goals and 70 assists seeing him tally a total of 142 points in 138 fixtures.

Meanwhile, flying the flag for the Czech Republic in international junior competition, Rehak featured 32 times for his home nation and lit the lamp on 14 occasions whilst playing a role in 6 more.

In 2011/12 Adam Rehak opted to sample hockey in America as he continued his development abroad with a switch to the Medicine Hat Tigers of America’s Western Hockey League (WHL) and here featured 16 times before finishing his season back home in the Czech Republic.

His taste for travel had not been fully satisfied however and 2012/13 was then his final season in his own country before his journey across Europe began. In 2013/14 Rehak started the campaign in Italy’s second tier with HC Merano where he tallied 13 points in 14 games before joining Cracovia Krakow in Poland’s top division.

Icing for the country’s oldest existing sports club he notched 11 goals and 18 assists for 29 points – a return that helped guide the side to a cup win and just their third in the team’s history.

Nice of France’s second tier then came calling in 2014/15 and Rehak continued to average over a point a game before a return to Poland last season where 17 goals and 11 assists saw him end the campaign with 28 points.

Now Adam Rehak arrives in the UK looking to make his mark in the NIHL South Division 1 having penned a deal that will see him wear the number 11 jersey for the Invicta Dynamos in 2016/17.

Speaking on the capture of Adam Rehak, Head Coach Kevin Parrish said, “Adam is an all-round forward who will bring goals, assists and a physical presence to our attack and I believe he’s perfectly suited to the vigour of the NIHL.”

“He joins us having been an u18s and u20s champion back home and having lifted a trophy with his first team in Poland in 2013/14.”

“Meanwhile last season he finished as the highest scoring ‘import’ player for Zaglebie Sosnowiec and I know he’s now looking forward to coming to the UK and making a name for himself here.”

“Adam is an aggressive player, will hit hard and drop the gloves for his teammates and I’m sure the supporters will take to him at the SilverBlades.”

“I look forward to working with him very soon as we prepare for our 20th season”.

Adam Rehak’s signing takes Kevin Parrish’s roster to 18 with only the finishing touches to be made before the team open their season with a double header weekend of warm-up games against the Haringey Racers starting on 3rd September 2016.
