Kent Crusaders continued their unbeaten run in NBL Division 2 with a 86-98 win over Newham Neptunes on Saturday afternoon at UEL SportsDock.
Crusaders won every quarter on their way to a fifth straight win to open the season in the Championship, but eighth overall including the National Cup.
Amin Adamu exploded for 31 points, behind some sharp shooting from beyond the arc, whilst Dan Akin added 24.
“Today was similar to lots of other games we have played this season,” said Head Coach Lloyd Gardner.
“We won against a difficult team but I think as a group we know and feel we can put a better performance on the floor. We have to continue to improve our consistency and get longer periods of good play in each game.”
John Shodipo rounded out the leading scorers with 11.
Crusaders will now have a week off before returning to action on November 19, away from home against Thames Valley Cavaliers at Uxbridge College.
