Kent Crusaders reeled off their fourth straight win in Men’s NBL Division 2 with a 109-76 win over Newham Neptunes on Saturday at Brompton Academy.

Cruaders got up early and never looked back, cruising the rest of the way as they held a 23 point lead at halftime.

RJ Eytle-Rock had 21 points to lead Kent, whilst Tim and John Shodipo added 18 each as the home side overcame a 36 point outing from Lukas Volskis.

“It was a good performance by us today,” said Crusaders Head Coach Lloyd Gardner.

“We talked before the game about how dangerous NASSA can be, you can see with Lukas’ performance they have players that can hurt you. I thought that defensively we were good though, and established the pattern of the game early.

“Hopefully this is something we can build on now with some tough games coming up in the next few weeks.”

Kent improved to 14-2 with the victory, and sit in second place in the league table.

With next week’s game against league leaders Team Newcastle University postponed, Crusaders return to action on February 25 at Barking Abbey in East London (tip time TBC).
