Kent’s Tracey Crouch has been reappointed as Sport, Tourism & Heritage minister.
The Conservative MP for Chatham and Aylesford has been in the role since 2015.
In a tweet she said she was “obviously delighted”, adding that she had missed seeing footballer Harry Kane’s goal in the England v France friendly match on Tuesday night because she was “on phone being reappointed” to the role in the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
Her appointment was announced by Prime Minister Theresa May as one of several ministerial appointments as part of a limited reshuffle following last week’s general election.
Ufi Ibrahim, chief executive of the British Hospitality Association, said: “Tracey Crouch has been a firm friend to our industry and we congratulate her for being re-appointed to the role of tourism minister. We look forward to continuing our work with her.”
