Crofts heads to Charlton on trial

Chatham born Welsh international, Andrew Crofts, is due to link up with Charlton Athletic today.

Southend v Gills5

He is likely to play some part in the games at Welling and Bromley, and like Lewis Buxton, could even go to Austria.

Now 32-years-old, Crofts has won 28 Welsh caps, and featured as recently as March for Chris Coleman’s side.

In all competitions, Crofts has made 365 starts and 54 substitute appearances for Gillingham, Peterborough, Wrexham, Brighton and Norwich, scoring 41 goals, and was released by Brighton this summer.

Like Buxton, his experience would be a valuable asset in League One.
