Crees targeting more points

The Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship returns this weekend and Michael Crees will be looking to continue scoring points at Oulton Park.

In the opening two rounds of the season Crees has finished in points scoring positions in four of the six races. He is also currently leading the Jack Sears Trophy standings as he goes into the third race weekend of the season.

Oulton Park is a circuit the Honda’s have traditionally done well at and Crees will be looking to qualify well on Saturday and challenge the top ten and podium on Sunday when the lights go out on the starting grid.

Speaking ahead of the weekend, Crees said: “The Hondas have always gone well at Oulton Park.

“It would be nice to be at the sharp end of the grid this weekend. I qualified on the front-row there in the Ginetta the year before last against the Pro runners, so I do like the track. There’s no room for error there though.

“Coming off the back of Brands, looking at my performance and pace, I was good enough for a top ten, if not higher.

“I’ve just got to string it all together now. If the Honda performs how we expect it to, then we should be right up there in the mix.”
