Cray Wanderers are back in Isthmian League Premier Division action this evening when they entertain Whitehawk at Flamingo Park, looking to build on the point they picked up last weekend.
Neil Smith’s side go into the game sitting bottom of the table with 5 points from 9 league games, on Saturday The Wands drew 0-0 at home to Hastings Utd in a game that found the visitors’ keeper in inspired form.
This is Cray’s fourth consecutive home game and having lost the first two, they will be hoping to end the the run at their new stadium with a vital three points.
Whitehawk make the journey up from Sussex sitting two places above Cray in 20th, with 10 points from 10 league matches played. Last weekend The Hawks lost 2-0 at home to Cheshunt, their third defeat in a row.
Smith has brought in a number of new players to his squad in recent weeks, which still feels like a work in progress, the most recent arrivals being former Gillingham defender Ike Orji, plus forwards Stefan Illic and Calvin Ekpeteta.
When the sides met last season the game at Hayes Lane ended 2-2 in November, while Whitehawk won their home game 2-0 in February.
Entrance for the game is £12 for adults and £6 for concessions, with an excellent printed programme for £3. Kick off is at 7:45pm.
