It’s a Kent derby at Hayes Lane on Wednesday night when Cray Wanderers entertain Margate in the Bostik Premier Division.
The Wands go into their fourth game of the new season still looking for their first win since promotion back to the Isthmian League Premier Division, but they have picked up two very creditable 0-0 draws against Kingstonian and Corinthian Casuals, while they were just edged out by Folkestone 3-2 in injury time last Wednesday, both of the Cray goals coming from Andre Coker.
Margate go in to the game having drawn all three of their league matches so far with Brightlingsea, Hornchurch and On Saturday they drew 3-3 At Kingstonian with Kudus Oyenuga scoring a hatrick.
Cray manager Tony Russell has had terrible luck with injuries to his squad so far with centre back Jay Leader yet to feature and Andre Coker having to miss the game with Casuals, while Tom Phipp and Aaron Rhule had to go off with knocks.
It’s been a while since The Wands Met Margate in a league match and this should be an entertaining match between two good footballing sides looking to pick up their first victory of the new league campaign.
Entry for the game is £10 for adults and £5 for concessions, while season ticket holders for Premier, Football and National League clubs can gain entry for £5 on production on their ticket.
