In form Cray Wanderers are back in Isthmian League Premier Division action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Potters Bar Town at Flamingo Park.
The Wands go into the game on a good run of results, which has seen Neil Smith’s side rise up to thirteenth in the table with 32 points from 24 league matches. Cray have won their last two games 1-0, defeating Hendon and Dulwich Hamlet at home. Unfortunately last Saturday’s game at Wingate & Finchley well victim to the weather, but they will be hoping to continue the resurgence having lost only once in in their last eight.
Potters Bar Town make the journey down from Herts sitting in tenth with 34 points from 24 league games. Last time out The Scholars won 2-1 away at Canvey Island with goals from Brandon Adams and Steve Cawley. Results have fluctuated for Max Mitchell’s side over recent weeks and they will be hoping to continue on from their victory in Essex.
When the sides met in the reverse fixture back in November The Wands ran out 4-0 winners, with goals from Josh Williams (2), Kenny Coker & Nyren Clunis. The Scholars currently having to play home games at Kings Langley while work is carried out on their own ground, which makes their league position even more impressive.
This should be another interesting game between sides looking to push on into the New Year and up the table.
