Cray Wanderers are back in Isthmian League Premier Division action at Hayes Lane on Saturday afternoon when they entertain Lewes.
The Wands go into the game sitting in second place with 46 points from 27 league matches, level on points with leaders AFC Hornchurch, but having played more games than the teams around them.
Last weekend Neil Smith’s side won 1-0 away at Aveley, Tom Derry scoring the only goal with a header in the second half and they have only lost once in the league since November.
Lewes make the trip up from Sussex sitting in eleventh with 38 points from 24 league games, The Rooks are managed by former Wands boss Tony Russell and their team contains several ex-Cray players including prolific striker Joe Taylor and influential midfielder Bradley Pritchard.
Russell and his coaching staff had an excellent spell in charge of Cray Wands, which saw them promoted from Division One and also be in contention for promotion to National League South twice before Covid intervened on both occasions.
Last time out Lewes lost 2-1 away at Carshalton Athletic, Taylor netting the equaliser for The Rooks, before The Robins scored the winner late on.
When the sides met at The Dripping Pan in November the match ended 0-0 and this game looks set to be equally as close with two good teams go up against each other both looking to push for the play offs.
Entrance for the game is £12 for adults and £6 for concessions, Bromley FC adult season ticket holders can see the game for £6. There is also an excellent printed programme for £2.
Kick off is 3pm.
