Cray Wanderers are back in action at Hayes Lane on Sunday afternoon when they entertain play off chasing Hasting United in the Ryman League Division One South.
The Wands lost 2-0 to Dorking Wanderers last Saturday and had struggled for form over the last month falling away from the play off picture, but they did beat Herne Bay 2-1 in their most recent home game despite still missing a number of players through injury.
Hastings arrive from the Sussex coast still in the hunt for the post season sitting in seventh with 73 pointts from 41 games, although they did suffer a surprise 1-0 defeat to already relegated Godalming last Saturday.
When the two sides met at Pilot Field in January Cray won 2-1 with Danny Haynes netting both goals for Tony Russell’s side, but form that result United went on a good run of results that kept them near the top five.
With good weather forecast and not much other football on locally The Wands should be rewarded with a good crowd for their penultimate home game of the season.
