Cray Wanderers are back in Isthmian League Premier Division action again on Saturday afternoon when they entertain Hashtag United at Flamingo Park.
The Wands have kept three clean sheets in a row in the league, the most recent being a 1-0 win away at Cheshunt last weekend courtesy of a goal from Charlie Edwards, the victory taking The Wands off the bottom of the table with 9 points from 11 league games.
A youthful Cray side lost 6-5 on penalties to Phoenix Sports in the Kent Senior Cup on Tuesday night after a 2-2 draw, Stefan Illic and Afriye Offei Gyimaha on target for Neil Smith’s side.
Hashtag make the journey down from Essex sitting two places above their hosts with 10 points from 10 games, last time out The Tags beat Grays Athletic 6-1 in the FA Trophy with goals from Camilo Restrepo, Jermaine Anderson, Sak Hassan, Max Cornhill, Darren Foxley and Misha Djemaili securing place in the next round.
When the sides met on the first day of the season, The Wands won 2-0 with goals from Frankie Raymond and Dontai Stewart.
Both sides will be looking for a win to kick off November and make their way up the table towards league safety in what looks set to be a closely fought encounter.
Entrance for the game is £12 for adults and £6 for concessions. there is also an excellent printed programme for £3. Kick off is 3pm.
