Top of the table Cray Wanderers play host to fourth placed Bury Town in The Ryman League Division One North at Hayes Lane on Saturday.
The Wands come into the game on the back of two single goal victories 1-0 away at Heybridge Swifts last Saturday and 2-1 at Thamesmead Town on Monday, which took Cray up to 35 points from 15 games.
With strikers Leigh Bremner and Andre McCollin injured, plus defender Nick Reeves leaving for Hythe Town, manager Tony Russell has brought in Onome Sodje on loan from Billericay Town, Aryan Tajbakhsh from Hendon and Lewis Tozer from VCD.
Sodje & Tozer played in the win at Thamesmead with Tozer getting on the score sheet along with Ben Payne who scored in both wins.
Bury head down from Suffolk with 27 points from 14 games, having drawn 1-1 at home to Soham Town Rangers on Tuesday night and they are one of the few teams in this league that bring a significant away following with them.
With an increase in home crowds reflecting the upsurge in The Black & Ambers’ fortunes there is a feel good factor back at the club and they will be hoping to enhance this on Saturday.
This should be a very close game between two sides looking to be up in the promotion picture this season after making good starts to the campaign.
