In form Cray Wanderers are back in Isthmian League Premier Division action on Saturday afternoon when they take on high flying Billericay Town at Flamingo Park.
The Wands go into the game on a run of three consecutive 1-0 wins, the latest being a single goal victory away at league leaders Dover Athletic last Saturday courtesy of a Nyren Clunis goal that saw them move up to sixteenth in the table with 25 points from 20 games, seven points clear of the bottom four.
Manager Neil Smith brought in two young loanees from his former club Bromley last week in George Penn & Frankie Moralee who both featured in the win at Crabble, which saw Cray keeper Shaun Rowley record his thirteenth clean sheet of the season so far.
Billericay make the trip down from Essex sitting in second place with 38 points from their 20 matches, last weekend Town drew 1-1 at home to Hasting Utd with Todd Miller scoring for The Blues. Striker Moses Emmanuel is Billericay’s top scorer with seven league goals so far this campaign. Gary McCann’s side are unbeaten in four, five points behind first place Dover.
When the sides met last season, Billericay won 1-0 at Hayes Lane in August, while the game at The New Lodge ended in a 6-0 win for Town in January.
With both The Wands and Ricay in good form and looking to keep things going coming into the Christmas fixtures, this looks set to be a really good entertaining game.
Entrance for the game is £12 for adults, £6 for concessions and there is an excellent printed programme for £3. Kick off is at 3pm.
