F.A. Vase finalists Cray Valley Paper Mills entertain Bearsted in a South East Counties Football League Premier Division fixture on Wednesday.
The hosts, in their centenary season, come into the game on the back of their semi-final success over Canterbury City but manager Kevin Watson knows that they must put all thoughts of Wembley behind them as they concentrate on their league campaign. They are currently in fourth place but are five points behind leaders Corinthian having played two games fewer.
Bearsted drew one-all with Rusthall on Saturday. Sam Flisher put them ahead in the first half but Robbie Blissett levelled shortly after the interval and there was no further scoring after that. Although fourteenth in the table, so compact is the league that a win could take them into the top half of the table.
It was only two weeks ago that the two teams met in the reverse fixture. That came ended in a tight one-nil win for the Millers. Gavin Tomlin scored the only goal twenty minutes into the second half when first to react after a shot from Danny Smith came back out to him.
Following the two games against Canterbury being in front of big crowds, the Millers will be hoping to have attracted some new supporters to create a good atmosphere in the ground.
