Kent’s Zak Crawley has been named by England Men in an 18-strong replacement group for the Royal London Series against Pakistan.

The announcement comes after the news that three members of the initial playing group and four members of the management staff had tested positive for COVID-19, and consequently the entire squad initially selected was required to isolate.

Ben Stokes will return to the squad to captain the side and Chris Silverwood, who had been due to take some time away during the white-ball series, is back as Head Coach. In total, there are nine uncapped players in the squad.

Crawley comes into the squad and has been immediately withdrawn from Kent’s County Championship clash against Lancashire at Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, Kent captain Sam Billings is now in self isolation for ten days after being part of the original England ODI squad.

Crawley would make his One Day International debut for England if selected for the opening game of the series against Pakistan on Thursday and will come into the game on the back of a duck against Lancashire on Monday, scoring 0 off 6 balls before Jimmy Anderson’s first victim of the day.
