Mike Conway is back on track this weekend as the FIA World Endurance Championship heads for Brazil.
He will be competing in the six hours of Sao Paulo race, but whilst other drivers may have not raced competitively for ten weeks, Mike has been back in action in the IZOD IndyCar Series netting a brace of seventh place finishes.
He also raced in the American Le Mans series which also saw him finish on the podium having started on pole position.
Conway will be hoping to get back on the podium this weekend with his teammates John Martin and Roman Rusinov, ten weeks after they were on the podium at Le Mans.
Speaking ahead of the weekend, Conway said: “It’s going to be good to get back in the car. I’m hoping with the few races that we have left we can get our first win of the season. We should have had more results having led so many races but have just been unlucky.
“Having raced in Sao Paulo with IndyCar, I know how passionate the Brazilian race fans are, so I am hoping we can find the podium and give them a great race.”
The fourth round of the World Endurance Championship commences on Friday with practice. The race will start on Sunday 1st September at 4pm with it being broadcast live on Motors TV or online at www.fiawec.com.
