This time he will be driving in the Grand Prix of Mosport in Ontario with Level 5 Motorsport, where he will replace Ryan Briscoe who broke his wrist in last weekend during an IndyCar race.

Conway is no stranger to the LMP2 category as he currently competes in the World Endurance Championship for Delta-ADR as well as racing in the LMP2 class at the recent Le Mans 24 hour race.

Speaking about the opportunity, Mike said: “Firstly I would like to wish Ryan Briscoe a speedy recovery and hope he gets better soon. It’s a great opportunity to drive for Level 5 Motorsports at the Grand Prix of Mosport, so I appreciate Scott Tucker and David Stone giving me this chance.

“They are a great team and have already had some successes this year.I need to also thank MB Partners and my manager Mark Blundell for getting this deal done and look forward to having a good weekend.”

Level 5 were clearly delighted to get such an experienced driver to replace the injured Briscoe for this coming race weekend.

Level 5 Team Manager David Stone, said “Scott and I have had our eye on Mike for a while now and with him already in Canada for the IndyCar race it worked out perfectly.  He has been extremely quick in the WEC and we look forward to him joining the team this weekend.”
