Kent pace bowler Matthew Coles will join England Lions for the remaining fixtures against Sri Lanka A in Sri Lanka.

Coles has been called up from the Potential England Performance Programme in Chennai and will also be part of the squad that takes on England in a One Day game in Abu Dhabi.

Coles has been called up as Surrey pace bowler Stuart Meaker has been ruled out of the remainder of the tour of Sri Lanka and the UAE due to a lower back injury.

Meaker will return to the UK immediately for further assessment and to continue his rehabilitation with Surrey.
