Young midfielder, Ollie Muldoon, has joined Dagenham & Redbridge on loan for the rest of the season.
Muldoon could hardly have asked for a better start, an FA Cup match against Everton, and he is expected to be involved at Goodison.
Striker, Tobi Sho-Silva, has returned to Sparrows Lane after a loan spell in Scotland with Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
The Sun carried a story on Friday suggesting Johann Berg Gudmundsson, Tony Watt and Igor Vetokele are available.
Watt looks certain to join Cardiff on a permanent basis this month, but it would be a surprise if either Gudmundsson or Vetokele leftin this window.
There have been plenty of rumours surrounding Charlton’s teenage prodigy, Ademola Lookman. Spurs, Chelsea and Crystal Palace are amongst a host of Premier League clubs linked with the youngster. There was even a suggestion that Lookman would sign for Chelsea on Friday.
Lookman’s preferred option is to sign a new deal at The Valley, he wants to play, not sit on the bench. As long as a satisfactory deal can be offered, Lookman looks set to stay with the Addicks.
Chelsea do not have a great record of bringing youngsters through, so Stamford Bridge would seem an unlikely destination for Lookman.
Charlton face a banana skin FA Cup tie at Colchester, and Karel Fraeye will ring the changes in his line-up. The head coach will have his sights firmly fixed on Tuesday’s vital match at Huddersfield.
Tareiq Holmes-Dennis is suspended, and Joe Pigott is cup-tied. New arrivals Rhys Williams, Roger Johnson and Diego Poyet are all likely to be involved.
Charlton will be backed by 1500 travelling fans, and will be confident of progressing. Fraeye’s team may look something like this:
Henderson; Charles-Cook, Johnson, Lennon, Fox; Williams, Poyet; Moussa, Vaz Te, Ceballos; Makienok.
Subs: Pope, Sarr, Cousins, Ghoochannejhad, Ahearne-Grant, Umerah, Vetokele.
The referee will be Manchester’s Chris Kavanagh.
