It wasn’t a successful road trip for the Invicta Dynamos on Sunday night as they were beaten at the Chelmsford Chieftains.
Kevin Parrish’s side went into the game on a high having beaten Milton Keynes Thunder 11-4 the night before, but were to come out second best over in Essex against a determined Chelmsford side.
The game got off to a slow start, but it was the home side that went in at the break a goal up after eight minutes of the game.
The Dynamos were to concede a second just 36 seconds into the second period, but were back in the game when Shaun Wild fired home in the 37th minute.
With a big performance needed for the final period, the Dynamos got off to the worst possible start by conceding just sixteen seconds in and try as they might, they couldn’t get a foot hold back into the game and came away with nothing.
The defeat sees the Dynamos drop to third in the NIHL South league behind Chelmsford and now sit six points behind leaders Wightlink Raiders with a game in hand.
The Dynamos will now need a big weekend as they head to Streatham on Saturday night to take on the Redskins and then return to Gillingham on Sunday evening to face leaders Wightlink in the top of the table clash.
