The Invicta Dynamos suffered a Saturday night to forget as they were soundly beaten by the Chelmsford Chieftains in the Southeast Trophy.Marek Nahlik

Kevin Parrish’s side travelled to Essex full of expectation having already beaten their closest rivals once already this season, but came back with nothing having been on the back of a 13-3 thumping.

The night had started so well for the Dynamos too with import Marik Nahlik giving them an early lead, but they were to go in at the first break trailing 5-1.

Once again it was the Dynamos that scored the first goal of the second period with fellow import Juraj Huska finding the net in the 22nd minute, but two further goals from the home side saw Chelmsford open up their lead to 7-2.

With Davey Jackson given the final twenty minutes in the net, the Chieftains were to go on a rampage scoring a further six goals whilst Nicky Lewis scored what proved to be just a consolation.

The Dynamos will be keen to put the defeat swiftly behind them with the Wightlink Raiders coming to Gillingham on Sunday night for a top of the table league clash. Face off is at 5:15pm.
