Invicta Dynamos third game in four days was too much for the Kent side after a heavy defeat in Essex to Chelmsford Chieftains.

The Dynamos welcomed the return of defenders Andy Henderson and Damien Welch with Grant Baxter and Adam McNicoll still unavailable.

The Chieftains were four nil to the good within 14 minutes, courtesy of goals from Ross Brears, Grant Bartlett, Sean Barry and former Dynamo Juraj Huska.

Andy Henderson and Nicky Lewis both had decent shots at the Chieftains goal but netminder Euan King kept the Dynamos at bay.

One thing the Dynamos did win in the first period was a fight between Arran Strawson and Chieftains agitator Cameron Bartlett with Strawson getting the most punches in and also getting the takedown.

The second period was no better for the Dynamos with further Chelmsford goals from Matthew Turner (shorthanded), Jake Sylvester and former Dynamo Daniel Hammond.

Ondrej Zosiak had a couple of decent shots at Euan King but the Dynamos were still having no luck in registering a goal.

Former Dynamos captain Anthony Leone put Chelmsford 8 nil to the good on 42:50 and it was soon 9 nil on 43:18 through Oliver Baldock.

At 9 nil Invicta coach Kevin Parrish pulled netminder Mark McGill and gave Steve Nightingale a runout and within a minute Julian Smith put Chelmsford further ahead to give the scoreboard double figures.

A fight broke out between Harrison Lillis and Grant Bartlett on 52:38 with Bartlett getting the takedown after a long tussle with Lillis.

Invicta’s misery was complete on 57:40 when Jake Sylvester made it 11 nil to finish the scoring for the night.
