Judge has been a revelation during his time at Meadow Lane and was on the wanted list of several Championship sides, including Charlton.

The 24-year-old should be approaching the best years of his career and Blackburn acted swiftly to secure his services. Rovers look to be assembling a decent squad for the 2013/14 campaign.

Manager Gary Bowyer also signed Millwall’s former Oldham winger, Chris Taylor, and Portsmouth keeper, Simon Eastwood. It was a frantic day at Ewood Park as caretaker boss Bowyer penned a one year rolling contract to become Blackburn’s permanent boss.

Rovers are another club who will be looking to reduce their wage bill over the the summer to comply with the impending Financial Fair Play regulations.

Though they have funds available for further new recruits, they need to reduce their wage bill considerably.
