Charlton are reportedly the subject of a takeover bid from a Russian consortium according to the Mail Online.
The Mail has good Valley connections so the story has legs to it. Richard Murray told a supporters group in May that the club was available at the right price.
There have been various rumours about the state of the club’s finances over the past 12 months or so and it is highly likely that Tony Jiminez and Michael Slater would sell if anyone matched their valuation of the club.
There were rumours of Turkish interest during last season but nothing came of it. Though fans would welcome significant investment in the club, they may have to wait a while longer.
