Jason Euell’s Under-23 team began their campaign with a 3-1 win over Cray Wanderers in in a behind closed doors friendly at Sparrows Lane on Saturday.
The Wands included former Addicks frontman, Danny Haynes, on the substitutes’ bench, and Charlton had a number of trialists in their ranks.
Charlton took the lead after 34 minutes. Brandon Hanlan intercepted a pass, and carried the ball forward before firing past Sam Roach.
