Charlton Athletic v Bury preview
Charlton Athletic v Bury preview
The relentless schedule of matches continues with Bury’s visit to The Valley on Saturday.

This is the reverse fixture of the season’s opener at Gigg Lane in August. More than a thousand fans followed the Addicks to Lancashire on that sunny afternoon back in August.
After a bright start, the Addicks faded and slumped to a 2-0 defeat. Bury have struggled recently and face a battle to avoid relegation.
Former midfield maestro, Lee Bowyer, was appointed assistant first team coach on Tuesday, and Bowyer’s knowledge of the midfield battleground will be useful.
Lee Clark is now in charge of the Shakers. Clark’s teams are built on a solid defence and are rarely good to watch, so Karl Robinson’s side will have to be patient.
Robinson will again shuffle his pack. Chris Solly starts a three match ban for the red card he received against Rochdale.
The manager has said that Nathan Byrne will drop back to cover for Solly.
Charlton may  look something like this::
Rudd; Byrne, Bauer, Teixeira, Page; Crofts‎, Forster-Caskey, Botaka, Mavadidi, Holmes; Magennis.
Subs: Phillips, Dasilva, Jackson, Aribo, Novak, Watt, Ahearne-Granmt.
The referee will be Trevor Kettle from Rutland.
The Addicks have failed to win in their last five attempts. A win is long overdue and they could scarcely have asked for a better fixture.
Anything less than a win would be disappointing.
