Charlton Athletic v Bradford City preview
Krystian Bielik was the only one of the six Charlton players on international duty to return with an injury. Bielik picked up an ankle knock playing for Poland’s Under-21 side against England.

The knock will keep him out of Saturday’s clash with Bradford City.
The injury is not serious though, and Lee Bowyer expects to have his midfielder available for next week’s trip to Plymouth.
There was some good news on the injury front for Bowyer however, Jonnie Williams has recovered from his hamstring problem and will be in the squad that faces the Bantams.
‎Bowyer had this to say about the current injury situation at his press conference on Thursday:
“Jonny Williams has trained this week and he looks good, he’ll be back in the squad on Saturday. And Jake Forster-Caskey has started training with us this week.

“Obviously, Jake won’t be involved in the squad for a while yet but we are hoping that it might move on a bit next week. That’s a plus for him and a plus for us.

“It’s going to be touch and go (whether Jake plays this season) and I have spoken to him about this already. I’d love to have Jake in the squad for selection before the end of the season because he is a good player and I really think highly of him.

“He’s been out for a long time – since pre-season – and it all just depends on how he goes himself. He’s worked so hard to get to where he is, hopefully he does play this season but we can’t put a timeframe on it.

“If he is ready and sharp and doing better than the other lads then he will be involved.”

“Krystian has come back with a bad ankle, it’s not too bad. He’ll miss this week but we are hopeful he will be back for Plymouth.

“It’s disappointing, we can’t control it, but that’s what happens and we just have to get on with it.
“We have good players who can come in and replace him and it is just something that we cannot control, unfortunately.”

‎The Bantams are rock bottom, but Bowyer is still expecting them to be difficult opponents:

“Personally, I can’t see why Bradford are down there. Their front three are good players. Doyle was one of the top scorers in the league last year, Ball got promotion with Rotherham last year and Payne is another good player. Those three can hurt you on their own.

“They leak goals at the back, that’s been their problem but, whoever you play at this stage of the season, it is going to be difficult because everyone is playing for something, whether it is promotion, play-offs or survival, everyone has something to play for.

“From here on in, every game is going to be hard and a different challenge and it is down to us to be professional and respect every team that we play, which we do in every game. If we do those things right then we’ll win games,” concluded the manager.

‎Charlton could look something like this:
Phillips; Solly, Bauer, Pearce, Purrington; Cullen, Reeves, Aribo, Williams; Taylor, Vetokele.
Subs: Maxwell, Dijksteel, Sarr, Pratley, Lapslie, Fosu, Parker.
The referee will be Martin Coy of County Durham.
Bowyer gave the non-international members of his squad a four day break after the Bristol Rovers match.
He has reported that they have come back with a renewed hunger, and are raring to go again.
As Bowyer correctly pointed out at his press conference‎, there are no easy games at this time of the season.
But he will still expect to win the game.
