Charlton Athletic 4-1 Bristol Rovers
Charlton came from a goal down to romp to a 4-1 win over Bristol Rovers at The Valley on Monday afternoon.

Josh Magennis grabbed a hat-trick, and Joe Aribo was again impressive with a hat-trick of assists.
Karl Robinson fielded his favoured 4-2-3-1‎ formation for the first time. Ezri Konsa and Andrew Crofts were the midfield anchors, with Jordan Botaka, Aribo and Adam Chicksen playing behind lone striker, Josh Magennis.
Konsa was replaced at right-back by Chris Solly who made a welcome return.
The afternoon got off to a disastrous start, with Rovers going ahead in the 12th minute. Patrick Bauer slipped near the halfway line, and Jermaine Easter took full advantage.
As Dillon Phillips came out, Easter dropped his shoulder, rounded the keeper, and rolled the ball into the empty net.
The Addicks levelled four minutes before the interval. Aribo floated a free-kick in, and Magennis rose unopposed to head home.
Five minutes after the interval, Magennis headed Charlton in front from another floated Aribo free-kick.
Two minutes later, the big striker came close to completing his hat-trick, firing just over following a surging run by Bauer.
Jorge Teixeira added the third on the hour mark. Andrew Crofts played a quick free-kick to Aribo. The youngster drove into the area, and delivered a low cross for Teixeira to touch home.
Charlton should have added a fourth a minute later. Konsa advanced into the area and went for an ambitious shot, instead of passing to the unmarked Magennis.
The fourth goal arrived 17 minutes from the end. A lofted pass by Crofts found Magennis, and the Ulsterman smashed the ball past Will Puddy to complete his hat-trick.
Magennis still had time to hit the bar from an acute angle before the end.
The team left the field with chants of, “Red army” ringing in their ears, and Robinson orchestrating Magennis’ tunnel jumps.
What the Valley faithful wouldn’t give for a similar outcome in their next match…….when Millwall visit The V alley!
Kevin Foley’s contract will end before the Millwall game and will not be renewed. Jordan Botaka will also miss the game, he will on duty for DR Congo in the African Cup Of Nations.
