Chris Powell made a double swoop into the loan market on Monday to add Millwall striker, Dany N’Guessan, and QPR’s left sided midfielder, Lee Cook, to his squad until the end of the season.

N’Guessan is a pacy front man who can also operate on either flank.

Lee Cook was a loanee in Alan Pardew’s day but failed to impress. He was loaned out to Leyton Orient earlier in the season and played against the Addicks on New Year’s Eve. He had a good game and gave Chris Solly a tough time.

Both players will be involved in the squad to face the Glovers and, with Johnnie Jackson likely to miss the game, Cook could even be in the frame for a starting berth.

Yeovil have been transformed since Gary Johnson returned to the helm. They have won eight of their last twelve games and taken thirteen points from their last five fixtures. Only a stoppage time Jon Parkin strike prevented them having a five match winning streak to take to The Valley.

Many fans will be expecting the Addicks to pick up an easy three points but the Glovers are in really good form. They are now esconced in the top half of the table and will be formidable foes, Charlton will have to be on their mettle to get a result.

Chris Powell’s side have looked jaded recently and the manager made a couple of changes at Scunthorpe, bringing in Scott Wagstaff and Darel Russell.

Hamer will probably line up behind the usual back four but Powell will have to ponder his midfield. Johnnie Jackson is likely to miss the match which could see Wagstaff switch to the left. Lee Cook could also be in contention and Danny Green may return on the right.

Darel Russell done well enough at Scunthorpe and could retain his place. Dale Stephens was the man to miss out on Saturday and though Danny Hollands was not at his best at Glanford Park, Stephens is again likely to be the one who misses out. If Powell thinks the game will develop into an attritional battle, Andy Hughes could come into his thoughts.

Kermorgant and Wright-Phillips will continue up front.

Charlton could look something like this:

Hamer; Solly, Taylor, Morrison, Wiggins; Green, Russell, Hollands, Wagstaff; Kermorgant, Wright-Phillips.

Subs: Sullivan, Cort, Stephens, Cook, N’Guessan.

Surrey’s Carl Berry will be the man in charge.

The game will not be straightforward and the three points will have to be earned the hard way.
