Karel Fraeye will hope it will be a case of third time lucky when Sheffield Wednesday come calling on Saturday.
The Addicks have not won since late August and are now four points adrift of safety, with a string of tricky matches coming up.
Wednesday are full of confidence at the moment, and are hovering just outside the play-off zone.
Fraeye will have to shuffle his pack again, after his team picked up more injuries at Milton Keynes on Tuesday.
Fraeye will be without Jordan Cousins, and the interim head coach added that Johann Berg Gudmundsson was very doubtful. Gudmundsson took a heavy challenge on his ankle, and though it has responded to treatment, the game may come too soon for the Icelandic international.
Tony Watt appeared to aggravate his groin problem at stadium:MK, while Fraeye is unhappy with Conor McAleny and wants to cut short his loan spell.
It is unlikely that there will be any new arrivals before Saturday, so Charlton’s options are very limited.
The Addicks could line-up something like this:
Henderson; Solly, Dirra, Bauer, Fox; Ghoochannejhad, Ba, Jackson, Moussa; Makienok, Ahearne-Grant.
Subs: Pope, Sarr, Holmes-Dennis, Bergdich, Charles-Cook, Kennedy, Lookman.
Gavin Ward from Surrey will be the man in the middle.
It is difficult to see Fraeye being able to end the winless run with his current depleted squad. He would probably be happy to take a point from the game, but that will be a big ask.
