For the second season running, Charlton have a televised home game against local rivals in September.
It remains to be seen whether history repeats itself regarding it being the only time the Addicks appear on live television during the season.
Millwall ended their dismal start to the campaign with a 3-1 win over Blackpool on Tuesday and their match day squad will probably include three former Charlton players, Nicky Bailey, Lee Martin and Martyn Waghorn.
This has been the poorest start the Addicks have had since the season they were relegated from the Premier League. Both teams have one win and five points to their names so it is likely to be a tense affair.
Steve Lomas was not a popular choice for the manager’s post amongst Millwall fans and he has still to win them over. Victory in this match would go a long way towards doing that.
Chris Powell tried three systems at Huddersfield in midweek and will have to decide whether to continue with a 3-5-2 starting formation.
Chris Solly will be out for a while longer but talismanic striker, Yann Kermorgant, is expected to be fit. Both Cameron Stewart and Callum Harriott added attacking verve when they were introduced on Tuesday but they may again have to make an impact from the bench.
Powell may opt to start with this team:
Hamer; Morrison, Dervite, Wood; Wilson, Pritchard, Stephens, Jackson, Wiggins; Kermorgant, Church.
Subs: Alnwick, Cousins, Gower, Stewart, Harriott, Pigott, Sordell.
Andy D’Urso from Billericay will be the referee.
Both sides will be desperate for their second win of the season but they may have to settle for a share of the spoils.
