Charlton Ath v Leeds United Preview
Despite taking a creditable four points from their Easter fixtures, the Addicks are still hovering just four points above the drop zone. The Valley
What the safety margin is in this topsy-turvy season is anybody’s guess but a rare win against Leeds would ease concerns considerably.
Leeds have had a tough time of things recently, no wins in their last six games has all but extinguished  their play off hopes and the charismatic Neil Warnock  parted company with the club earlier in the week.
Leeds have some quality players in their ranks and will be backed by their usual large band of fans, so there will be a cracking atmosphere at The Valley.
Chris Powell may decide to opt for a 4-4-2 formation at home and a good performance would be a boost for season ticket sales – the first ‘early bird’ phase closes on Monday.
Ricardo Fuller is likely to return if Powell does play two strikers and midfield duo, Dale Stephens and Mark Gower, will be pushing for a start but Florent Rouamba is still awaiting a work permit and is unavailable.
Powell may start with this team:
Hamer; Solly, Dervite, Morrison, Wiggins; Pritchard, Hughes, Jackson, Harriott; Kermorgant, Fuller.
Subs: Button, Taylor, Wilson, Gower, Stephens, Haynes, Obika.
Stuart Attwell will be the referee.
Charlton could scarcely be playing Leeds at a better time and they need to take advantage of the opportunity.
Collectors will be out tomorrow taking fans’ votes for the Player of the Season.
