Sean Dyche has performed miracles at Turf Moor to get Burnley ten points clear of third placed Derby in the table.
Like many managers in this division, Dyche had minimal funds to bring players in with during the summer.
Not only that, star striker Charlie Austin was sold to Queens Park Rangers. Dyche used the existing talent he had at the club and the Sam Vokes/Danny Ings parnership has rewarded the Clarets manager with a rich harvest of goals.
Ings was injured recently and is expected to be out for another three weeks. Burnley are hoping to bring in an experienced short term replacement to keep their momentum going.
Jose Riga will be bouyed by Charlton’s late winner and the three points that lifted his team out of the relegatin zone on Tuesday.
Riga will again assess the fitness levels of his squad as the relentless schedule of games continues.
Leon Cort is back in training but is more likely to figure in Monday’s Under-21 game at Crystal Palace. Reza Ghoochannejhad and Callum Harriott are undergoing treatment but should be available for selection.
The conspiracy theories regarding the goalkeeping situation appear to have been laid to rest, so Ben Hamer is set to continue in goal.
The defence has yet to be breached during Riga’s brief tenure and the head coach is likely to leave it intact. Loic Nego is another who is likely to play in the Palace game on Monday.
Midfield is an area where the head coach may ring the changes and it could be that he decides to go with a 4-4-2 formation for this game.
The work rate of Bradley Pritchard may see him get the nod over Danny Green on the right. Young guns, Jordan Cousins and Diego Poyet, could be reunited as the central duo with Johnnie Jackson pushed out to the left.
Riga is said to like pacy, powerful players, so Jon Obika and Marvin Sordell may be an appealing partnership to him.
Charlton could field this team:
Hamer; Wilson, Morrison, Dervite, Wiggins; Pritchard, Poyet, Cousins, Jackson; Obika, Sordell.
Subs: Thuram-Ulien, Nego, Wood, Green, Harriott, Church, Tudgay.
The referee will be Oliver Langton from the West Midlands.
The visitors will understandably, start warm favourites for the match, but it could be that the Addicks are playing them at the right time. Back-to-back wins for the first time this season, would send confidence levels soaring ahead of the difficult run.
